Our ceramic grade dolomite, sourced by Amanda International Private Limited, is a versatile material used in both body and glazes. It contains MgO and CaCO3 components that effectively replace talc and calcite. The addition of MgO serves multiple purposes: it alters the mixing system composition, lowering the firing temperature of the body, enhances quartz dissolution, promotes mullite formation, increases quartz content, reduces feldspar content, and ultimately enhances body transparency. When added to glazes, our dolomite produces less smoke compared to calcite, minimizing crystallization occurrences.
