Introduce
 
Kyanite is a kind of natural refractory raw material mineral with high refractoriness and large volume expansion at high temperature. There are parallel stripes on the crystal face. The color is light blue or cyan, bright gray and white, etc. It belongs to high aluminum minerals.
Chemical composition: Al2O3 63.1%, SiO2 36.9%. A single crystal is usually in the shape of a long plate or blade parallel to (100). Naturally occurring kyanite is often close to the ideal composition. It has strong resistance to chemical corrosion, high mechanical strength of thermal shock, and irreversible thermal expansion. It is the main raw material for the production of unshaped material, electric furnace top brick, phosphate unfired brick, mullite brick and low creep brick. It is also a metamorphic mineral, mainly occurring in regional metamorphic crystalline schist, and its metamorphic facies range from greenschist facies to amphibolite facies.

Application

(4) Adding 5% ~ 15% of kyanite to high aluminum cement can make kyanite cement, refractory temperature up to 1650ºC, can be used in military construction.
