Product Description
Garnet sand, ground from garnet, has the characteristics of high hardness, high temperature resistance, stable chemical performance, uniform particles, high grinding efficiency, no scratch and so on. Suitable for waterjet cutting industry; All kinds of metal, plastic, wood and other surface sandblasting industry; Mechanical industry of ultra-precision grinding, precision casting and on picture tube glass shell, optical glass, silicon wafer grinding industry.
Character
(1) Hard texture, Mohs hardness above 7.1, than commonly used quartz sand, sea sand, river sand and other sand blasting materials are higher hardness, and long service life.
(2) Because garnet is a crystal of equiaxed crystal system, without cleavage itself, so after it is made into sandblasting, it is easy to form particles with edges and corners of the approximate cube, and the effect of sandblasting is better. It can not only the metal surface rust, oxide scale, coating and pollutants completely removed, and because of the hardness, can be cleaned on the metal surface after the ideal angular rough surface, increase the surface area of the metal, improve the interface bonding force, so that the corrosion resistance of the protective coating and metal surface bonding force significantly enhanced, so as to improve the coating and metal surface bonding performance.
(3) Large density, usually around 4g/cm³, strong impact force, can better clean the metal surface.
(4) High strength, spray metal surface is not easy to break, even after the fragmentation will produce a new approximate cube particles with edges and angles, so it can be used repeatedly, generally up to more than 20 times. It is 20 times more often used than silica sand (sea sand or river sand) and more than twice as often used quartz sand (artificial), and its relative cost is low once used.

Application
Garnet is widely used in industrial production because of its high hardness and good chemical properties.
